Campus Compact 

Campus Compact is a national coalition of nearly 1,100 colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. The organization is comprised of a network of state and regional offices dedicated to campus-based civic engagement. Campus Compact enables campuses to develop students’ citizenship skills and forge effective community partnerships. Its resources support faculty and staff as they pursue community-based teaching and scholarship in the service of positive change.


National Service Learning Clearing House

The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse is one of the largest libraries of service-learning resources in the U.S. The Clearinghouse offers thousands of free online resources for K-12, higher education institutions, community based organizations, and tribal communities.


Learn and Serve America 

Learn and Serve America is part of the Corporation for National and Community Service, a U.S. federal agency that supports the improvement of American livelihoods through service. Learn and Serve assists service activities for more than one million students each year by providing resources to state education agencies, schools, nonprofit groups, Indian Tribes and U.S. Territories, and institutions of higher education. These organizations engage students in service activities that ensure academic achievement and promote civic responsibility.


Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN) 

The Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN), based in Lexington, KY, is a state association of nonprofit organizations within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. KNN’s goal is to strengthen and advance the nonprofit sector through a unified public policy voice, education, technical assistance, networking opportunities and sharing of best practices.


University of Kentucky Nonprofit Database 

The University of Kentucky has created a database containing over 1,000 nonprofit organizations across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The database of organizations is searchable by city and by sector, with links directly to the nonprofit’s homepage.


University of Kentucky Center for Community Outreach (CCO)

The Center for Community Outreach is a student-led organization within UK’s Office of Student Organizations and Activities created to serve, connect, and unite the UK campus with the surrounding community in collaborative efforts to promote life-long community service and to build a campus of socially aware and civically-engaged students. The CCO is home to a variety of service-based programs including UK Alternative Service Breaks (ASB), Beyond the Blue, Big Blue Pantry, FUSION (For Unity and Service in Our Neighborhoods), Martin Luther King Jr. Wildcats for Service, UK Mountain Cats, PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare and Services), NHHAW (National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week), UK Service Corps, and Young at Heart.

Corporation for National and Community Service

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is a federal agency that engages millions of Americans in service through its core programs -- Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and the Social Innovation Fund -- and the national volunteer efforts through Serve.gov.
