The University of Kentucky was re-awarded with the Community Engagement Classification in the Fall of 2015. This is a prestigious award that recognizes the University for its significant commitment to our community in Lexington and around the globe. The classification requires a rigorous two-year application process which was headed by a group of fourteen faculty, staff, and students across the University. The team was chaired by Katherine McCormick, Stuckert Endowed Professor for Service Learning. The classification is valid until 2025, at which point the University will be able to reapply.
