For more than 150 years, extraordinary women have called Alpha Delta Pi home. Originally called the “Adelphean Society,” Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women and forged the way for women in the fraternity system. Our founding took place at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia – the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. We continue to initiate progress throughout the fraternity system, being the first sorority to offer a shortened new member education program.
Inspire the Woman. Impact the World
Alpha Gamma Rho at the University of Kentucky isn't like other fraternities. In AΓP you'll get the opportunity to experience both a social and a professional fraternity. AΓP does what you expect a social fraternity to do: socialize with other students on campus and people in the community. AΓP is also like other social fraternities in that it has a strong group of members and a house you can live in during your college years. But AΓP is more than just one of those strictly social fraternities; it is also a professional fraternity. All members of AΓP have related career interests. AΓP is for young men pursuing any career related to the agriculture, food or fiber industries. One more difference: at AΓP there's no pledging. You join as an equal member. AΓP does a careful review of all potential members in advance, so there's no need for a "weeding out" process.

As of 2017, our select group of gentlemen have held positions in a variety of UK student organizations and influential positions in their respective communities. Our brotherhood has a multitude of honorable values through our generosity, mutual ambition to succeed, and a shared belief in fairness in all of our endeavors. We constantly strive to create admirable projects and achieve our goals while instilling the spirit of brotherhood in all that we accomplish. On average, our fraternity holds around 65 members annually. We value our size as it allows us to maintain a fraternity that values each of its members as an individual and is highly selective of its members. Each year we interview hundreds of men only to select the best gentlemen on campus. This has allowed our fraternity to include an admirable group of gentlemen. Our associate members are given the opportunity to quickly ascend to higher ranking positions within the fraternity and on campus due to our size. Phi Tau values its scholarship program and its core brotherhood values above all. We instill these principles within each of our members, which in turn has created a successful and established fraternity.
