Vision

We, the Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement envision a campus and community connected through authentic partnerships to advance positive societal change.

Mission

In collaboration with our campus and community partners, the Center promotes and supports sustainable and meaningful civic engagement in teaching, learning, and scholarship that fosters the development of citizen-scholars and the shared generation, integration, and application of knowledge within communities near and far.

Goals

The Center will:

1. Serve as a centralized point of entry and support for civically-engaged teaching, learning, and scholarship.

2. Develop new and enhance existing university-community partnerships among students, faculty, staff, and community members and organizations that enable the co-generation and sharing of knowledge

3. Promote the intellectual and civic development of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students
